Odious Overview

As with many things, O Odious Ones began after an end in 2018. Following the dissolution of local favorite, Stereo Story, two former members decided they had a vision worth pursuing. O Odious Ones came out of the gate with a manic energy fueled by a passion for music and degeneracy. The band quickly added a third member and recorded their debut LP, Death By Misadventure, in 2019. During the lifetime of the band O Odious Ones has performed over 100 shows in the midwest playing in various settings such as, backyards, warehouses, basements, garages and all the grimy dive bars you can name. O Odious Ones prides itself on crafting an undeniably authentic and original sound. It's easy to hear the band's punk and metal influences but their willingness to explore different sounds keeps listeners on their toes. Drawing comparisons to Meat Puppets, Acid Bath, Neutral Milk Hotel and Violent Femmes, O Odious Ones is a tough band to peg. O Odious Ones is no stranger to adversity. The band is on its third bassist and the local townsfolk have accused the band of satanic worship. Well, the third bassist is here to stay. We can't get rid of him. We tried. If pitchforks and pandemics can't do O Odious Ones in, then you should bet on us to win.
